Dubai-Abuh Dabi

Dubai-Abu Dhabi
One Thousand and One Nights in Arabia
Our journey began from the city of Thessaloniki, with a stopover in Athens, and we arrived in Sharjah, one of the seven Arab Emirates. The Emirates are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Umm Al-Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Fujairah. From there, we drove for an hour to reach our hotel, ready to explore the city. The city of Dubai has a population of about 4 million and impresses you at first glance with its towering skyscrapers.
Our first experience was to ascend the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world built by humans, with a height of 828 meters. Truly impressive, especially at night when it is illuminated spectacularly.

Next, our road took us to the Museum of the Future, a very special museum that impresses you with its shape. It really looks like a ring. Through this museum, we traveled 50 years into the future and got a fantastic taste of what the world will be like in the future. On our way, we also saw the Dubai Frame. The Dubai Frame is an observation deck, museum, and monument in Zabeel Park, Dubai. It holds the record for the largest frame in the world. The building is 150.24 meters tall and 95.53 meters wide and primarily serves as an observation deck, providing views of old Dubai to the north and the newer areas to the south. In the Business Bay area, we also visited the mall, the largest shopping center with a variety of shops for all tastes. In close proximity is the Mall of the Emirates, a more traditional shopping center but equally impressive and noteworthy for those who love shopping.

We were particularly impressed by the Burj Al Arab, also known as the Tower of the Arabs, which is a skyscraper and luxury hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It stands at 321 meters tall and is ranked as the fourth tallest hotel in the world. It is built on an artificial island, 280 meters offshore from Jumeirah Beach, and is connected to the mainland by a curved bridge. The sail-shaped design of the entire structure evokes architectural awe while being characterized as the only seven-star hotel in the world. Next to this hotel unfolds a very beautiful beach, Jumeirah Beach, with sand where you can swim freely, relax, and admire the surfers. Close by is the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, which equally impresses with its shape and size. A little further away is Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a local market with many shops. There you can also enjoy a nice meal or drink.
The most impressive area of Dubai is its marina. It is an upscale area with towering skyscrapers and buildings of exceptional architecture. It is surrounded by boats and ships, as well as many shops, bars, clubs, and cafes. You can even swim in the sea while behind you stand the towering skyscrapers. In the same area is the Palmtree, residences built into a palm tree that take your breath away with their impressive shape. At the top of this 'palm' is the Atlantis, an impressive 5-star hotel that combines luxury with the stunning view of the Arabian Gulf. Here you will also find the Aquaventure Water Park where you can spend a whole day enjoying the water slides and other attractions of this water park.
Equally noteworthy is a stroll through Deirah, the old town of Dubai, the most traditional part of it. Here you will find a plethora of shops with various products and you will get lost in its market with traditional bazaars. The market offers colorful fruits, vegetables, and local products. You can buy whatever you want and have it grilled on the spot in the traditional way. Also, the Dubai Creek, the canal of Dubai, runs through the heart of the Emirates, reflecting the history of this place. With just one dirham, you can take an abra ride through the souks and museums of Deirah and Bur Dubai, which are located on either side of the canal.

You will remember it unforgettable if you spend even one day in the desert doing various activities. After we arrived in the desert near the border with Oman, we got into the jeeps that were waiting for us there for a wonderful ride on the sand dunes. Then we went to a Bedouin tent where we were initiated into their cultural customs. We tried shisha, got henna tattoos, and enjoyed a dinner with local delicacies accompanied by a folklore show. This day was truly filled with unforgettable experiences.

A special place is also the emirate of Abu Dhabi, which will impress you equally. This emirate is the capital and largest city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Here you will see and admire the Grand Mosque, the third largest mosque in the world, which will offer you incredible sights.Imagine standing in front of a place where faith, culture, and art converge. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is just that; it is a journey to the heart of beauty and spirituality. This mosque reflects the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE.The mosque cost approximately 5.45 million dollars to build and is one of the largest in the world, with a capacity of 40,000 people.
Here you will also enjoy Ferrari World Yas Island, for those who love cars and will learn a lot about them. You will relax on Yas Beach, engage in water sports like jet skiing and kayaking, or simply enjoy sunbathing. We also admired the Emirates Palace, an architectural masterpiece, a wonderful hotel. The surrounding area and buildings are breathtaking. It is located near the city center and offers stunning views. You can also visit one of the ultra-modern and luxurious shopping malls in Abu Dhabi for relaxation, window shopping, and shopping, such as the huge Marina Mall at Breakwater, in the western part of the city.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are very popular destinations and for good reason; they will enchant you with their luxury, their architecture, but also with their simplicity in various parts of the city. It is a destination that will offer you unforgettable experiences.
